Are you progressing as believer?

Key verses: 2 Thessalonians Chapter 1
Answer the following questions below and evaluate yourself.

1. Is your faith growing?
As new believer, you must expect that your faith will be tried to prove whether it is genuine or not. Do not be afraid of tribulations and persecutions. Keep your faith growing in your journey to christian life inspite of suffering. Trust God more as you grow older in Christ.

Below are areas for opportunities to grow:
a) character - develop your personality, identity, integrity and stance towards morality
b) capability - develop your gift and talent
c) understanding - intelectual, insight, sensitivity.
d) relationship - your relationship with other people

2. Is your love abounding?
Our relationship with other people is the reflection of our love. Love people unconditionally. What goes around comes around. Sow love and reap love in return.

3. Is your patience increasing?
Is your perseverance and faith enduring even in the midst of persecutions and trial? Endure attacks inside and out. Overcome pressures and affliction from the result of trials. Do not give up while pressed by troubles. Let go of the past , face the present and move on to the future. Trust and yield to God's dealing. If and ever our suffering and pain is a result of our wrong choices, ask forgiveness from God and learn to forgive. Be willing to obey God's word an instructions.

4. Is your testimony helping others?
God encourages us to encourage others. We learn and grow so we can also help others to grow.We are designed by God to grow spiritually. He wants us to be a vessel ready to be used for God's glory. Apostle Paul commended the Church of Thessalonica, as a model church, of their growing faith, abounding love, inreasing patience, and of their genuine testimony of God's goodness. My prayer today is to attain the level of maturity which God desires in each one of us. Stand strong and stable in faith.

As God's faithfulness is always. Have a blessed life!!

Turning Trials into Triumphs

Message By Bishop Viernes
Key verse: James 1:1-12

There are three (3) essential keys in our journey to victory when we face various trials and hardhips. The right and positive attitude, faith in God, and our willingness to surrender our will, our heart and mind.

Be joyful - Count it all joy.
God arranges and mixes the colors and experience of life to bring the best in us. Yes, we still can experience joy in the midst of our trials. Give thanks and adopt a joyful attitude.

Have faith
Each time our faith is tested, we become more enduring, patient, persevering and hopeful and mature. God's test brings out our best. At times, God allows trials to reveal our weaknesses, but remember that all things work together for good.

Surrender to God
Trust God to accomplish, finish, complete His work in your life. And He is faithful, dedicated to complete you as His masterpiece. When we surrender our will to God, we are letting Him to take the driver's seat and let Him take the lead. He's our very present help in time of need. He provides and He heals.
